The motor is the heart of the fan. Typically driven by AC induction motors where the motor is driven entirely by electromagnetic induction generated by the stator, EPOCH fans run on the next generation PMSM motor. A PMSM motor uses the power of a permanent magnet to generate torque in a rotor with intelligent control of the electromagnetic field using power electronics.
This makes the motor more efficient, using less than 50% of its normal AC components while providing high fidelity control at speed. The EPOCH has advanced PMSM technology that provides HVLS fans with high torque, a lot of savings, maintenance-free, noise-free, and long life functionality.
